Novus offers a diverse set of frequency reference products. From our low cost TCXO frequency references to our Rubidium frequency references to our high-performance GPS disciplined references (GPS DO) -Novus frequency references offer low phase noise, accuracy and reliability. From one to twenty channels, modular, rackmount, portable or micro-packaged- Novus offers a form factor to meet your frequency reference needs. Available features include redundant power, SNMP, self-test, ultra-low phase noise, dual-Time base, real-time Allan Deviation, and synthesized frequency references.

For use cases that demand greater precision, we have GPS disciplined oscillators that will provide single satellite tracking capabilities that are GLONASS compatible and therefore supported by GPS, GLONASS, QZSS, and SBSS networks.

Four transient and fault protected PPS outputs with < 1 ns of channel skewing. Each channel is monitored and status LED’s displayed on the front panel. Built-in self-test drives a signal that can be tied into an alarm panel. High performance GNSS receiver offers 26 channels for rapid acquisition. Programmable pulse width and cable compensation,

  • Four fault and transient protected outputs.
  • Operates from an AC power adapter or from a DC source from  -60 to +60 Vdc (in three ranges).
  • Channel skewing < 1 ns ( Skewing is typically less than 200 ps on the three BNC channels)
  • Drives 3.3 Vdc or 5 Vdc LVCMOS into 50 Ohms on the three BNC channels, 5 Vdc CMOS into 1000 Ohms on SMA Channel.
  • 1PPS accuracy < 30 ns  rms.

Portable Timing Source that Synchronizes to GNSS or a NMEA/PPS External Source-OCXO Holdover

NP3001

The NP3001 accepts timing information from either an embedded GNSS receiver or an external NMEA/PPS source. Each source can be prioritized. Once synchronized the unit will produce NMEA and PPS from the selected source. If all sources fail, the unit becomes a simulator based upon its internal OCXO. Battery backup allows the unit to be synchronized and then used to bring timing information into a GNSS denied environment. Front panel display provides equipment status and facilitates the equipment configuration. The 26 Channel GNSS receiver quickly acquires and can be programmed to produce a PPS pulse once an accuracy level has been achieved or to produce a PPS from a TCXO source continuously. NMEA data streams can be programmed to content and baud rates. The unit may also be powered from a DC source or a Novus power adapter.
